Admissions Confidentiality Agreement

CONFIDENTIALITY AND NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT

UCLA ANDERSON ADMISSIONS (“Admissions”)

It is essential that the business and internal affairs of Admissions be kept confidential, along with all applicant information.  The security of applicants, employees, employee property, university property, and Admissions information is of vital importance to the school.  Everybody here shares responsibility to ensure that proper security is maintained, and any breach of security should be reported promptly to Admissions management.

Admissions property includes not only tangible property, like desks and computers, but also intangible property such as information.  Of particular importance are proprietary information and confidential information.  Proprietary information includes all information obtained by Admissions employees and student / alumni collaborators during the course of their work.  Confidential information is any Admissions information that is not known generally to the public.  Application status, evaluation criteria, admissions process protocols, and applicant information are some examples of confidential information.  Employees, students and alumni may not disclose or use proprietary or confidential information while involved with Admissions except as their jobs require, nor may they disclose or use such information at any time after termination of their relationship with Admissions.

Anyone who violates these guidelines may be subject to discipline up through and including termination, as well as possible legal action.  Breaching confidentiality may also be considered violations of the UCLA Student Conduct Code and the UCLA Anderson Honor Code, which would be referred to the Dean of Students.

Compliance with this Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement will result in smooth functioning of Admissions into the future, and is greatly appreciated by the school and its applicants and staff.
